Cecile Gray

Cecile is a sculptor, fine artist and educator.

Her multidisciplinary practice includes sculpture, installation art, found art, printmaking, textiles and murals.

Receiving her first commission at the age of 17, Cecile’s sculptures, prints and photography can be found in private homes around Melbourne. In addition to gallery exhibitions, her public art installations have appeared in the St Kilda Botanic Gardens and in the Myer City Store windows as part of the Melbourne International Festival.

Cecile has previously worked as the national training manager of a leading Australian arts and crafts supplier. Her formal studies were undertaken at The Slade, London, and at the Victorian College of the Arts, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Melbourne, has taught at secondary school level and been the artist-in-residence at a primary school in Melbourne.
